Apple/Macintosh Systems Integration Senior Specialist Job

This role uses professional concepts in accordance with company objectives to solve highly complex problems in creative and effective ways utilizing Apple technologies in conjunction with existing Microsoft technologies.
Some barrier-to-entry exists at this level such as a dependency on management and peer reviews as well as the ability to follow company and professional standards.
This role works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
This person exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
This role will work with the UIT End-User Systems Manager determine methods and procedures on new assignments and projects.
This position will be required to provide technical guidance to personnel and work directly with customers and vendors.
Help innovate, architect and maintain the performance and stability of all Apple Operating Systems, Apple mobile computing devices (i.e. iPhone), desktop builds, software deployment/maintenance Define standards for all technologies related to Apple as it relates to the End-User Systems environment.
Work with a global team in multiple time zones Help work with application development team to coordinate projects, timelines and integration of systems Work with the UIT manager to provide recommendations on the evolution of the infrastructure to meet short, medium and long-term objectives Work with the UIT manager to provide recommendations regarding improvement and enhancements of the systems environment Test, where appropriate and possible, in a production simulated laboratory environment any new technology prior to production implementation Optimize the performance of the systems environment, including reconfiguration, maintenance and/or upgrades Plan, Develop, Test, Provision, Administer and Manage the Corporations systems Manage and plan both hardware and software upgrades as necessary Keep all documentation current and create necessary documentation.
Work with the UIT Manager to implement and maintain standard naming conventions for all accounts, hardware, etc.
Work with the UIT Manager to conduct hardware capacity planning and make recommendations based on future direction and needs Secondary functions: Train junior personnel how to use and configure infrastructure equipment Provide backup to the NOS/Messaging function Provide level 3 support to Service Desk.
Have working knowledge of and keep current on Network Infrastructure Topology Technical & Behavioral Skills Necessary skills: Project management Ability to work in a team environment Able to adapt to a changing technical environment Ability to coach other members of team in their area of expertise Ability to communicate clearly with all team members and end-users 10 years of Technical Experience Apple Certified Systems Administrator (OSX) Solid understanding of Apple and Macintosh technologies, Microsoft technologies, email systems, remote workers, software deployment Quest QMX Strong Active Directory skills Strong Windows Operating Systems skills Strong Desktop security skills (Two-Factor Authentication, SmartCards, Secure wireless networking, Encryption technology for data in motion and rest) Proven ability to work on large-scale deployments in multiple locations General understanding of networks and related WAN/LAN technologies General understanding of TCP/IP and Network communications 4-year degree or equivalent experience
